What’s involved
Additions touch foundations, framing, roofing, siding, windows, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and interior finishes. They almost always require permits, and most require some site work (grading, drainage, sometimes new sewer/water tie-ins).
We coordinate the design (in-house or with an architect), engineering when required, all permits, and the build itself. You have one point of contact through the whole project.
Timeline
A simple single-room addition is usually 3–4 months. A primary suite or significant second-story addition is 5–8 months. Permitting in some Portland-area jurisdictions adds 2–4 months on the front end — we’ll let you know what to expect for your specific address.
